Getting Your API Key
CraftyAI requires an API key to connect your server or client to our AI engine. Getting one is free and takes under a minute.
Step-by-Step Guide​
Follow these instructions to obtain your unique API key:
Step 1: Install and Start​
Install the plugin or mod on your server/client and start it. The software will automatically generate a unique Session ID.
Step 2: Join Discord​
Join the official CraftyAI Discord server: DemonZ Development Discord.
Step 3: Find the Control Panel​
Navigate to the #crafty channel in our Discord server. You will see a message from the Crafty bot containing the Control Panel.
Step 4: Request an API Key​
Click the "Get API Key" button on the Control Panel. When prompted, enter your Session ID.
Step 5: Receive Your Key​
The Crafty bot will instantly generate a unique API key (which always starts with cai_) and send it to you via a Direct Message (DM).
Step 6: Configure Your Server​
Paste the API key into your configuration file:
- Plugin users: Add it to
plugins/CraftyAI/config.yml. - Mod users: Press
Kin-game to open the settings screen and paste it there, or editconfig/craftyai.json.
Each individual server or client installation needs its own unique API key. Do not share your API key between different servers.
You can manage your API keys, check your usage, and view your server's memory tier by clicking the "My Sessions" button in the Discord Control Panel.
